Born on June 11, 1920, in Kingston, New York, Robert Hutton was the son of a hardware merchant and related to Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton. He graduated from Blair Academy in New Jersey before pursuing a career in acting. Hutton had four marriages, two of which produced children. He enjoyed a successful career in film and television, but his strong political views made it difficult for him to find work later in life.
Career
Robert Hutton began his acting journey at the Woodstock Playhouse in New York, where he worked as a leading man and director. He was under contract with Warner Brothers for several years and appeared in numerous films and television shows, showcasing his talent.
