Linda Watkins was born on May 23, 1908, in Boston, Massachusetts. She married Gabriel Lorie Hess in 1932, and they had one son, Adam, who sadly died in 1969. Watkins also had two stepchildren, Elizabeth Baer and Thomas Baer Hess. Throughout her career, she had a strong connection to her family and enjoyed spending time with her three granddaughters.

Career

Watkins was trained by the Theatre Guild and made her Broadway debut in 1926. She became well-known as a stage actress, particularly for her performances in shows like June Moon and They Shall Not Die. Despite her success on stage, she found it challenging to transition into film, resulting in a long absence from the screen before returning to television in the 1950s.
