Career
Jean Dixon made her stage debut in Paris alongside the famous actress Sarah Bernhardt while studying at a French university. She returned to the United States in 1921, making her Broadway debut shortly thereafter and performed in various productions both on Broadway and nationwide. In 1929, she transitioned to Hollywood, where she typically played the witty friend of the main character, becoming particularly recognized for her role as Molly in the 1936 comedy My Man Godfrey.
