Jack Cooper was born Frank B. on January 25, 1890, in Stockport, England. He married Adella Louise Anthes on August 1, 1915, and they had two children together. They remained married until Adella’s passing in 1959.
Career
Initially, Cooper honed his acting skills on the American musical comedy stage, performing in vaudeville and stock shows. He gained early recognition for his comic roles in Fox’s “Sunshine Comedies” and later worked with notable figures such as Hal Roach and Mack Sennett throughout the 1920s.
Death and Legacy
Jack Cooper passed away on January 12, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois. He is remembered for his contributions to silent films and his comedic performances during the early years of cinema.
